'Bo' modeled toys selling like hotcakes

According to the LA Times and AP:

Last month, toy company Ty announced its plans to market a Beanie Baby in the image of the new Obama family dog, Bo. And the Bo dolls appear to be popular enough that they're hard to keep in stock. The Associated Press reports:

Less than a dozen "Bo" Beanie Babies were sent to the educational toy shop Learning Express in the Chicago suburb of St. Charles, and he sold out quickly, owner Aalap Shah said Wednesday.

"We were fortunate enough to receive a small shipment of 'Bo,' " Shah said. "He sold out within a few hours. He was very popular. We can't wait to get some more in."

Missing Police Dog Returns

According to UPI.com:

CHICAGO, May 18 (UPI) -- A Chicago police dog that ran off during a thunderstorm was found four days later by a man who recognized the animal from the news, authorities said.

Canine Unit Officer Rick King, Bear the dog's handler, said the 2 1/2-year-old German shepherd was outside relieving himself during a lull in thunderstorms Wednesday night when he was spooked by a clap of thunder and jumped a fence to flee King's yard, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday.

Pet Scam's make the news

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle:

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport officials want the public to be aware of a pet scam involving bogus purchases and false claims that animals are being detained at the airport.
The pet scam involves online ads or unsolicited e-mails that offer to sell and ship pets -- such as puppies, birds and monkeys -- from overseas. After buying the pet, the scam seller will ask for more money, frequently claiming the pet is sick and being held at the airport until it gets vaccinations needed to pass through customs. The scam victim often pays the additional money and contacts the
Department of Aviation at Hartsfield-Jackson for details about obtaining the pet.

Now, you may know what I think about pet trafficking and the horrible conditions pets in stores go through, but coupled with a scam - this makes for no good, at all.

I want to impress on everyone to not buy dogs, or cats from pet stores or shady dealers online, because of the conditions the pets are coming from, which may be unclear.

I want to urge everyone to adopt, if you can or have the desire, rather buying from breeders too, who sometimes breed at such a rate it is unhealthy for the mother and the pups, or kittens.

I came from a family that merely had pups, not a breeder. . .

Dog Stops Mail Delivery

From the AP: Read the story here

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — Cozmo the Jack Russell terrier has done what neither rain, sleet nor the gloom of night has been able to do — keep postal carriers in Clarksburg from their appointed rounds. Postal Service spokeswoman Cathy Yarosky said mail delivery to seven homes on Milford Street was halted because of the 20-pound terrier.

She said a carrier was injured after falling while trying to run away from Cozmo.

Cozmo's owners Jimmy and Justine Marino, said the dog has never bitten anyone. But they acknowledged he has gotten out of the yard a few times.

The Marinos have been told mail delivery won't resume until they get rid of the dog. Jimmy Marino said efforts to find a new home for Cozmo have been unsuccessful.

Iam's Puppy Formula For Large Breeds: Whew, that's a lot!

Iams makes great dog food and it is all I've eaten since day, well, week 8.

I want to recommend the puppy formula for large breeds, as it gives all the essential nutrients and vitamins needed in an everyday diet and I've had no trouble eating it.

I remember the first time I tasted that delicious chow in December of 2008; it couldn't have been bad if I'm still eating it all these months later.

Iams is a great bargain compared to expensive counterparts, Eukanuba and others and delivers just as much specificity to dog breeds in food that a pooch like me needs.

So if you're a puppy out there, and you like a good eat, then try Iams puppy formula, or puppy formula for large breeds if you are like me or even bigger than me. Ooo, that might be scary
